Life doesn't get any better than this...

  • Waking up at 3am, even if the baby isn't awake, to help Nattie go potty. This ensures I'm not washing bedding the next day.
  • Hearing "you're the meanest mom in the world!" This proves I'm sticking to my resolve to keep yucky television programs (even if they are cartoons) out of my house and promote some kind of physical activity for my children.
  • "You never let me do anything!" Because I won't let them wait in the car while I go into Costco, or walk somewhere without me, or ride in the front seat...
  • Listening to soft snoring all night long, this means my baby is still breathing.
  • Hearing Nattie say "Oh my goodness!" Because this means it's working and she's breaking her nasty habit of saying something else super bad!
  • Hearing my babies tell their Heavenly Father thanks for letting me be their mommy.
  • Wet, slimy baby slobber all over my face, neck and arms from Ammon's kisses and snuggles.
  • Waking up in the morning feeling like I have eyes full of sand because I haven't had a full night's sleep in six years and two months.
  • Knowing that, for some reason I can't quite fathom, my husband really does mean it when he says he loves me.

Just a few of the reasons I'm happy to be alive today. I love my babies and I love my husband. :)
